Nothing ruins wedding plans like a murder
Jonathan and Ellie thought they had their immediate future worked out. Ellie would finish her training in Jacksonville and then they would marry. Everything was in order. That was until Jonathan’s commanding officer sent them to investigate a series of mysterious deaths at one of the west coast reforestation camps. If they stopped a windigo, a serial killer should be a piece of cake.
Of course things weren’t that simple. The reforestation camps weren’t simply penal colonies They were part of the government’s plan to reunite the country after a short-lived civil war and a military coup. It was a bold plan and it was beginning to work. Until the killings started. Someone wanted the plan to fail. And that someone just might be a skinwalker.
Capturing the killer might turn out to be the easy part of the assignment. If they did capture him or her, how were they going to bring them to justice? After all, everyone knows there’s no such thing as a skinwalker.
